Ms Edwards said it became a 'common theme' for young women to be given a diagnosis on their medical records when getting support from her charity. She said: 'It is a worrying pattern. A woman is raped so she goes to DCMH. She's understandably all over the place. She might be suicidal. 'But instead of the medical practitioner seeing it as post-traumatic stress disorder [PTSD], they diagnose her with personality disorder. 'She added that individuals cannot serve in the military with this diagnosis, which allows the military to 'get rid of the problem'.
